MSNBC guest goes off rails, says Trump has history of ‘rape culture’

A MSNBC commentator groundlessly accused President Donald Trump of condoning “rape culture” and allowing women to mistreated.

During an interview Saturday with MSNBC’s Joy Reid, Anand Giridharadas was asked about recent allegations of domestic abuse by two officials in the Trump administration.

On Friday, White House staff secretary Rob Porter stepped down from his position amid allegations that he abused his two ex-wives. One of his ex-wives has photographs of herself with a black eye, which she claims occurred when Porter struck her in the face. He has denied those allegations.

Following Porter’s resignation, White House speechwriter David Sorensen resigned after his former wife accused him of abusing her during their marriage. He has also denied those allegations.

Giridharadas said the United States is in the midst of “a rape culture presidency.”

He was also asked about White House counselor Kellyanne Conway, who said Sen. Kirsten Gillibrand, D-N.Y., should spend time doing an examination of her own party before saying the GOP has an issue of silencing women.

“I don’t need a lecture from Kirsten Gillibrand or anybody else who protected and defended and harbored a sitting president who had sexual relations in the Oval Office and was impeached for lying,” Conway said.

Giridharadas fired back on Conway, call her a “monster” who “will say whatever for money.”

He then said Trump has a history of being a “vagina grabber” and that sexual misconduct is “a very apt metaphor for everything Trumpism is.”

“This is a rape-culture presidency, and Donald Trump has become the commander in chief of American rape culture,” Giridharadas said.

There was absolutely no push-back from Reid on his vile remarks on television because MSNBC basks in the notion of insulting and denigrating Trump. The president has made it clear that domestic violence will never be tolerated.

But in a tweet from Saturday, he asked why people are no longer allowed due process and are assumed guilty before innocent.

Perhaps these liberal hacks should look at their own party before hurling baseless accusations at Trump and the GOP.
